Abacus Technology is seeking an Historian to support creating an oral history for astrophysics across NASA programs. This is a short term, remote position for one year or until the completion of the project.

Conduct primary research.
• Conduct oral histories with NASA workforce.
• Collaborate with NASA archivists in collection assessment and development.
• Support agency efforts related to historic preservation/cultural resources, knowledge management, records management, artifacts, and public engagement.
• Directly interfacing with NASA management and/or customers.

5 years experience in research and knowledge management. PhD in history or a related field. Proficient in oral and written communications; research, writing and editing; and problem solving. Must be a US citizen.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
