JOB SUMMARY:

Transport clean and dirty laundry from the laundry building to the hotel, spa, food and beverage closets. Sort dirty laundry for wash preparation. Maintain walk ways into each building, etc., snow and apply ice melt. Maintain clean laundry vehicle and do daily checks that everything is working. Aid in guest requests to condos and support condo crew. Transport staff to and from housing as needed.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a consistent flow of clean and dirty laundry to designated areas. Notify hotel of clean laundry being delivered.
  2. Sort and prepare linens for cleaning. Maintain a clean and organized sorting area. Help fold laundry, load/un load washers and dryers.
  3. Respond to guest requests and provide guests with accurate information about hotel facilities.
  4. Communicate with the Supervisor when recovering any and all lost and found items.
  5. Effectively work with team members to accomplish assigned tasks each day.
  6. Follow all instructions when filling spray bottles with cleaning chemicals; never mix chemicals.
  7. Work in a safe manner to prevent injury to yourself, other staff members or our valued guests.
  8. Watch for safety hazards and report them immediately to your Department Supervisor
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle. Daily checks that everything is working, (lights, oil level, etc.) Report any issues.
  10. Maintain clear walk ways into buildings, shoveling snow and apply ice melt as needed depending on weather conditions.
  11. Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready for work
  12. Maintain control of keys issued to perform assigned duties
  13. Work efficiently and as part of the team
  14. Properly handle all equipment and cleaning chemicals (i.e. washers, dryers, detergents, etc.)

Qualifications Required:

  1. Organizational and time management skills
  2. Must be able to give and receive information clearly.
  3. Valid Driver's License.
  4. Detail oriented as it pertains to accuracy and efficiency.
  5. Ability to work as part of a team.
  6. Flexible work schedule with ability to work, weekends, holidays, and overtime hours as required by business volumes.

The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal. Employees must fulfill their performance standards for this position and comply with the policies, rules and procedures of the Hotel, including those set out in the Employee Handbook or otherwise communicated (verbally or in writing) to employees.
